It is the month of love, and a week to show love. What are you going to do this week to demonstrate love?
Whenever we talk about love, we are quick to limit ourselves to romantic love. But there are so many things to love and fall in love with. You can fall in love with nature, food, cars, books, music, solitude and professions. Yes, you can fall in love with project management.
In this week of love, we reflect on some of the best ever thoughts about one of the most beautiful feelings in the world – love.
“Love does not consist of gazing at each other, but in looking together in the same direction.” – Antoine de Saint-Exupéry
“Kindness in words creates confidence. Kindness in thinking creates profundity. Kindness in giving creates love.” – Lao Tzu
“People think a soul mate is your perfect fit, and that’s what everyone wants. But a true soul mate is a mirror, the person who shows you everything that is holding you back, the person who brings you to your own attention so you can change your life.” – Elizabeth Gilbert
“Love is more than a noun – it is a verb; it is more than a feeling – it is caring, sharing, helping, sacrificing.” – William Arthur Ward
“It is better to be hated for what you are than to be loved for what you are not.” – Andre Gide
“It is not love that makes a relationship complicated; it’s the people in it who do.” – Unknown
“Thinking of you keeps me awake. Dreaming of you keeps me asleep. Being with you keeps me alive.” – Unknown
“I love you not only for what you are, but for what I am when I am with you. I love you not only for what you have made of yourself, but for what you are making of me. I love you for the part of me that you bring out.” – Elizabeth Barrett Browning
“Love has nothing to do with what you are expecting to get–only with what you are expecting to give–which is everything.” – Katharine Hepburn
“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.” — 1 Corinthians 13
“The only thing we never get enough of is love; and the only thing we never give enough of is love.” — Henry Miller
There is no excuse for not showing love. This week, spread kindness, share hope, ignite a soul, give – for that is the essence of love.
